His story starts with him graduating from Columbus University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science completed in 1983. By 1992, he worked with well-known investment banking firm Lehman Brothers. It’s from this point that his work had been greatly inspiring.
He worked with Lehman Brothers from January 1992 until March 1996. In just barely four years, he attained the kind of success few people are able to achieve. He started out as a simple administrator for UNIX systems. After that, he was promoted to a team leader position that put him in control of automation specialists and other administrators. From there, he had been able to work his way to the very top as Assistant Vice President. He became successful not only because he is talented but also because of his willingness to recognize and nurture talent of his peers and colleagues. Today, Robert Cattani is one of the telecommunications managers of TIAA-CREF, a big financial company, with a work force of over 5,000 personnel. He serves as team leader to a group of people. His job focuses on external communications, particularly in relation to Internet and perimeter network services.
